The Vbeam laser produces a wavelength of light of the color red, and it is attracted to it’s own color, red. Blood vessels are red, and the laser light vaporizes them. The laser light will continue through the skin, passing deep into the second layer of skin, and continue to destroy these unwanted vessels that produce a red look or actual spider vein appearance. The red glow or pink, ruddy color of the skin, especially the face, neck and chest, can be completely eliminated, and clear normal coloring of skin remains. Post treatment appearance ranges from a pink glow for a day or two, to some bruising if more layers of vessels are treated at one time. The more dense and red the area, the more chance that multiple treatments are required to clean up all the vessels. Typical conditions composed of blood vessels that the laser treats are:

  • Rosacea
  • Spider veins
  • Red birthmarks
  • Hemangiomas or angiomas
  • Generalized redness of the skin, especially the face, neck, chest
  • Red scars
